We are a Czech family business that produces tiles using traditional craft methods. Our hard-fired vitrified floor tiles are hand-patterned and fully pigmented, ensuring unrivalled quality and durability combined with timeless beauty. Our retro Art Nouveau-style tiles are perfectly at home in historic buildings dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The material properties of vitrified ceramic tiles are far superior to those of ordinary cement (concrete) tiles, which have to be impregnated or waxed every year..
We will be delighted to advise you when selecting the tile shapes and patterns that will best fit your individual location. We can also produce designs that will always remain 100% unique to you – on request, we will guarantee that the pattern will never be used for another customer. Thanks to our many years of professional expertise, we can take a truly bespoke approach to each client, creating customized tiles to meet individual specifications. We will meet with you in person to discuss the designs and colour combinations that will best suit your needs, and we will make sample tiles for your approval before launching the actual production process.
We produce our tiles in the village of Černilov near Hradec Králové, and we can deliver to anywhere in the Czech Republic and other countries. We have customers in several European countries including Austria (Vienna), Germany (Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich), Hungary (Budapest), Poland (Krakow), and Slovakia (Bratislava, Košice).
Besides making replica tiles for legally protected historic buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries, we also produce high-quality retro-style tiles for restaurants, bars, hotels, bathrooms and more. The hand-production methods of the late 18th and early 19th centuries have still not been surpassed even by modern technologies – and most suppliers of tiles on the market do not have the necessary expertise to use these methods. Our tiles are fully pigmented (not just surface-printed), and we fire them for more than 70 hours. This process guarantees a lifespan of more than a century – even in high-traffic areas like corridors, hallways, entrance lobbies and staircases. Thanks to this unrivalled resistance to wear, we are also able to supply façade tiles for buildings at legally protected heritage sites such as the Royal Spa in Liberec, the Vyšehrad fortress in Prague, or the National Theatre.
We produce unglazed vitrified hard-fired ceramic tiles using a process that dates back more than 140 years. The process is particularly suitable for historically valuable buildings which require ceramic floor tiles replicating original patterns or in historically appropriate styles. Our top-quality historic and retro tiles can boast outstanding material properties, with excellent levels of wear resistance, abrasion resistance, hardness (8 on the Mohs scale), breaking strength (450 kg per tile), dirt resistance, frost resistance (up to 0.2%!), and tile body thickness (15 mm!).
